Event Report:
Blessing of the Bikes – Geelong 2023 was very well attended with maybe 800 to 1000 bikes and riders of all types. Cunningham pier was full and the overflow spread down Western Beach road.
Steve and Cam from CMA Geelong, together with David, Tracy, Chris and Geoff form CMA Lilydale, DAF from CMA Ballarat and David and Jo from CMA Cranbourne all participated in the event.
Blessing of the bikes on arrival under a drive through marquee was carried out with the help of Stephen Wade ‘Padre Flash’ from Easyriders.
Many conversations were had with people of all walks of life and a couple of hundred biker bibles were distributed. A number of people are interested in joining our up-coming rides.
A note of thanks to Jo who tirelessly stood amongst the crowd to distribute bibles, to Dave Harvey for catering with a box of potato cakes, and to Cam who stayed at the end to help me pack up and load all the equipment.
Thanks also to the blessings team for sprinkling holy water and happiness on all the riders.
A great social festival of bikers on a beautiful sunny day with an opportunity to represent our Lord. What a terrific way to spend the day.
